Effective date: April 13, 2026

TaperPath is a self-tracking and planning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Summary

Information TaperPath Handles

TaperPath may handle the following information entered by the user:

This information is used only to provide the app's features, such as schedule generation, daily logging, progress tracking, reminders, and symptom insights.

Local Device Storage

TaperPath stores app data locally on the user's device using on-device storage. This includes taper plans, logs, symptom entries, reminder settings, and related app state.

TaperPath does not currently require users to create an account, and TaperPath does not currently sync user data to a remote server.

Notifications

If a user enables reminders, TaperPath requests notification permission from the device and schedules local reminder notifications.

These reminders are used only to support the user's taper plan and logging routine. Users can turn reminders off at any time in the app settings or in device settings.

External Links

TaperPath may provide links to outside support resources, such as crisis or treatment resource websites. When a user taps one of these links, it opens outside the app in the device browser.

TaperPath is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

Medical Disclaimer

TaperPath is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app is intended for informational and self-tracking purposes only.

Users should consult a licensed healthcare professional for medical questions, especially if symptoms are severe or if they are taking other medications.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If it changes, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
